happy joo-lye e'rybody!

welp, it's a new month, and one of my favorites as it's the heart of summer. today i passed the 100 page mark on my novel (these are non-publishing pages though), only one day behind schedule. i'm shooting for 200 by the end of the summer, though that might be a challenge given how busy these last 8 weeks are shaping up to be: lots of travel, taking the general GRE on the 12th, and hopefully some beach enjoyment.

as for more substantive things... that's a negatory tonight folks. but since school got out i've read a number of books, including the third and fourth Harry Potter books, Mao II, and I'm working on The Portrait of a Lady. yes, i'm reading Henry James for fun. well not fun exactly, more like i've guilt-tripped myself into it because it's one of those books i should read before i graduate. i am enjoying it, all 490 tiny ass fontified pages of it.
