yesterday was a lesson in disappointment: Cal relegated to the Holiday Bowl, my soccer team's defeat in the second round of the playoffs to a lesser team, and an expected loss for the Wild Turkeys. the finer points of that lesson, i have yet to discern. but life continues, and somehow, in a mystical array of manners that defies me still, things work out okay.
